Living Libations congenial Chamomile Essential Oil is steam distilled from the delicate diminutive petals of French chamomile flowers. This flower, famed for its comforting caress, is also known as Roman Chamomile. The gentle grace of this ancient aromatic was revered by the ancient Egyptians, the Moors, and the Saxons as a sacred elixir worthy of the angels. Cheering, endearing Chamomile graces us with its honey-floral, hypnotic-fruit-scented powers of tranquility pacifying apprehension, softening tension, and nestling nerves.

Caring Chamomile melts muscles and tense minds; it may be used to anoint belly, neck, temples, and shoulders. Inhale via bottle, diffuser, or salt pipe for a soothing experience of serenity. It is beautiful in baths before bedtime. Culinary creations yield to Chamomile's dainty divinations, and a drop of this easing-essence added to honey and warm water before resting your head in bed is a peaceful way to end the day.

"While monoterpenoid esters are common in many essential oils, there is practically no other oil that reflects the nature of esters as exclusively as Roman Chamomile."
~ Kurt Schnaubelt, Advanced Aromatherapy

"When someone feels morose, grumpy, discontented, or impatient, chamomile is a good cordial. It is beneficial for people that feel short-tempered, self-involved, overly sensitive, or rarely satisfied."
~ Susanne Fischer-Rizzi, The Complete Aromatherapy Handbook

"With its extremely high levels of fragrant esters reminiscent of green apples and late summer fields, Roman chamomile today is seen as one of the classic relaxants ... it is one of the most effective aromatics. This oil will shine when the tension is systemic ... Like an abundant Earth Goddess, Roman chamomile engages the gentle warmth and sweetness of lingering late summer days, inviting us to relax in the inherent harmony of life's rhythms, to yield to the innate flow of life and enjoy its fruits of cyclical nature and serenity."
~ Peter Holmes, Aromatica

[Children] too can have days when they feel impatient disagreeable or tense. For children who wake up during the night or have nightmares and want to be held or walked, chamomile is very helpful."
~ Susanne Fischer-Rizzi, The Complete Aromatherapy Handbook
