Majestic Mountain Spruce Essential Oil is an invigorating evergreen dream! It is a traditional Native North Americans tonic to bless the body and the breath in cold winter air. Distilled from the quivering twigs and frosted branches of high altitude spruce trees, which reach upwards towards infinity from the peaks of the tallest mountains in North America. Also known as Engelmann Spruce, this oil is an ancient herbal helper of Natives Americans and indigenous Canadians alike. The oil is traditionally used in relaxing breathing balms, and massage oils for overworked muscles, and to provide simultaneous spiritual grounding and expansion.

Mountain Spruce grows throughout western North America, stretching from British Columbia in the north to Northern Mexico in the south. The tree is a high altitude spruce that thrives upon mountain peaks at least 900 meters high; thus the towering, uplifting, steadfast qualities of Mountain Spruce make it a great choice for (figurative) spine strengthening compresses and emotional grounding.
Mountain Spruce Essential Oil is similar to Blue Spruce as a champion of alignment, just like the steadfast mountains on which it grows. At the same time, the oil harnesses the soaring height and majesty of the mighty peaks, thus connecting the rooted self with the Higher Self. This oil is expansive; it invites new energy in while banishing tired energy through a filter of pure, juicy spruce. Mountain Spruce oil can be used during meditation to harmonize emotional and mental clarity, to calm and feel the spirit, and to expand the mind to new heights.
"The full moon rises. The fog clings to the lowest branches of the spruce trees."
~ Garth Stein, The Art of Racing in the Rain
"Native people also place great sacred value in the spruce. The First Nations people of Southern Canada, for instance, call it the Peace Tree and believe it teaches the values of cooperation, joy, and tranquility, and that it solidifies connections between humans and the heavens."
~ Christopher Cumo, Encyclopedia of Cultivated Plants: From Acacia to Zinnia
