Siberian Fir Essential Oil is drawn from the fresh fir trees that dot the sparkling, snow-covered vastness of the Boreal forest biome of Siberia. The essential oil is distilled in the short summers of the Taiga, this classic conifer was first used in European and Russian spas to revive muscles and spruce up the spirit during the 1800s. The tree’s wood was sturdy enough to build ships and houses, while the oil was used to infuse Christmastime with the fresh, fragrant spirit of the forest.

Siberian Fir is known for its spiritual grace. It is also magnificent to massage muscles and melt tension.

Emotionally and spiritually, Siberian Fir helps to navigate major life changes, including spiritual changes and evolution. It is said to steady the mind and heart during times of emotional upheaval – a relationship ending, a new job beginning, or a profound shift in consciousness. When your world feels askew, Siberian Fir freshens fortified feelings of grounded balance and strengthens the spirit anew.

“Even in Siberia there is happiness.”
~ Anton Chekhov

“In traditional health and fitness circle, Siberian Fir oil has always been thought of as a polycrest kind of respiratory remedy and a revitalizing energy tonic rolled into one. As the conditions that foster the tree’s growth would suggest, the oil embodies the vitality that is needed to resist challenging conditions… Specifically, it exerts a three-pronged action on the lungs and bronchi: restorative, decongestant and relaxant… The timeless quality of endurance this conifer embodies can also act as an ally in states of grief, burnout and nervous depression. In time, Siberian Fir will gently but firmly, insistently, awaken an inkling of inspiration, of a new vision, that can bring the individual to experience fresh confidence, positivity and motivation. Matsubara, et. al (2011) cite studies that indicate that Siberian Fir essential oil has antibacterial and antiviral activity, and they comment that the tree is part of traditional Siberian medicine, helping to maintain health during the severe winters. Their 2011 study revealed that inhalation of air containing the essential oil reduced arousal levels after a prolonged visual display terminal (VDT) task. Prolonged VDT work can lead to mental fatigue, sleep disorders and anxiety, therefore it was suggested that Siberian Fir essential oil has the potential to prevent such problems without influencing task performance.”
